Mike Garrett MBE BSc CChem FRSC CEng CSci FIChemE FRSA CEng MCIWEM

Director, Innovation and Technology

Formerly Director of Innovation with the BOC Group, Mike is recorded as the inventor in many hundreds of patents in the UK alone, and is accredited with inventing and/or commercialising a vast array of projects and ideas. Mike's unique talent and trademark lies in the fact that his creations are drawn, and typically ingeniously cross-linked, from an astonishingly wide range of disciplines. It is these unprecedented creative skills that lie behind the commercial potential of KBIG's extraordinarily wide-ranging portfolio of technologies. Mike is arguably one of the most prolifically successful scientific commercial inventors of all time, and his remains the only MBE ever awarded for services to innovation.

Roger Bousfield BSc (Chem) CPA EPA

Director, Licensing, Agreements and Intellectual Property

Roger has 35 years as an IP professional and joined KBIG from a position as head of the BOC Group's global IP function. He has responsibility for drafting, filing and managing KBIG's Patent Portfolio and for our worldwide IP policy and strategy. Roger has a long and impressive track record of negotiating, drafting, and finalising agreements of all kinds relating to a broad based patent portfolio such as KBIG's with corporations of all types and sizes all around the world. He is a Chartered Patent Agent, European Patent Attorney, Registered TradeMark Agent and European TradeMark Attorney.

Andrew J D Martin

Managing Director

Andrew has 25 years experience in the financial services industry specialising mostly in early stage company investment, and devising/implementing sophisticated tax-planning strategies for smaller companies and high net worth individuals. He is responsible for KBIG's overall financial and business strategy and management, for sales and marketing, and for creating strategic alliances. The originator of KBIG's unique business concept, Andrew co-founded the company with Mike Garrett.

Derek Wheeler BSc MSc

Non-Executive Director

Derek enjoys an international reputation as a leading cosmetic scientist, and is a foremost authority in the fields of analytical chemistry, product formulation and process engineering. He is Chief Executive Officer of AIM quoted Disperse Technologies Plc, which develops new and improved ways of formulating and manufacturing multiphase dispersions for a variety of industrial sectors. KBIG and Disperse collaborate closely on a number of potentially high value projects.

Consultancy Team

Whenever appropriate we call upon our extensive network of eminent specialists in a wide range of technological and scientific disciplines. We involve however many of our team it takes to ensure optimum success for whatever projects we feel they might be instrumental in helping us to advance. Some team members are named as co-inventors in certain KBIG projects where they approached us for assistance with problem solving.

A further invaluable resource to KBIG is the scientists and specialists working within our partner companies, with whom we work closely on developing new technologies falling within their specialist areas of expertise.
